I first met Sally at a storytelling event in Lewes. We became friends and later she joined us for a club that we were running at home. She told some very good stories for us.
Sally had done quite an in depth training in storytelling at Emerson college and enjoyed skillfully entertaining an audience with her often humorous stories.
Patrick and I were disappointed when she moved to Eastbourne but it was a good move for her and she introduced us to the delights of the town, including the Towner Art gallery which she loved.
Often she would come to the Speakers Festival in Lewes and we would go together and have lunch afterwards. It never ceased to amaze me how she knew all the good events, exhibitions, galleries and places to go. Sally was always up to the minute. We visited her five days before she died and we were stunned when we heard the news as she had still been telling us about events that she thought we would enjoy.
Sally was a lively, sociable, talented, generous and knowledgeable soul. Peace be with you dear Sally. We miss you very much.
